Via Dolorosa - Sandi Patti

Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day
The soldiers tried to clear that narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
The Man condemned to die on Calvary

He was bleeding from a beating, there were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns upon His head
And He bore with every step
The scorn of those who cried out for His death

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah Christ the King,
But He chose to walk that road out of
His love for you and me.
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men
Made its way through the heart of Jerusalem.

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King
But He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

More to Life - Stacie Orrico

I've got it all, but I feel so deprived
I go up, I come down and I'm emptier inside
Tell me what is this thing that I feel like
I'm missing
And why can't I let it go

There's gotta be more to life...
Than chasing down every temporary high
to satisfy me
Cause the more that I'm...
Tripping out thinking there must be
more to life
Well it's life, but I'm sure...
there's gotta be more
Than wanting more

I've got the time and I'm wasting it slowly
Here in this moment I'm half way out the door
Onto the next thing, I'm searching for
something that's missing

Child - Freddie Aguilar

When you were born into this world
Your mom and dad saw a dream fulfilled
A dream come true
An answer to their prayers
You were to them a special child
You gave them joy every time you smiled
Each time you cried
They were at your side

Child, you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through thank God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you live

Many seasons came and went
So many years have now been spent
Time ran fast
And now at last you're strong
What has gotten over you
You seem to hate your parents too
Speak out your mind
Why do you find them wrong

Child you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through thank God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you live

And now your path has gone astray
Child you ain't sure what to do or say
You're so alone
No friends are on your side
And child you now break down in tears
Let them drive away your fears
Where must you go
Their arms stay open wide

Child you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you live

Why - Michael Card

Why did it have to be a friend
Who chose to betray the Lord
And why did he use a kiss to show them
That's what not a kiss is for
Only a friend can betray friend
A stranger has nothing to gain
Only a friend comes close enough
To ever cause show so much pain

Why did it there have to be a thorny
Crown pressed upon his head
It should have been a royal one
Made of jewels and gold instead
It had to be a crown of thorns
Because in this life that we live
For all who would seek to love
A thorn is oft the world has to give

Why did it there have to be a heavy
Cross he was made to bear
Why did they nail his feet and hands
When his love would have held him there
It was a cross where on a cross
A thief was supposed to pay
Jesus had come into the world
To steal every heart away
Yes, Jesus had come into the world
To steal every heart away

One Small Child - David Meece

One small child in a land of a thousand,
One small dream of a Savior tonight,
One small hand reaching out to the starlight,
One small city of life.

One king bringing his gold and his riches,
One king ruling an army of might,
One king kneeling with incense and candlelight,
One King bringing us life.

Chorus: See him lying, a cradle beneath him.
See him smiling in the stall.
See his mother praising his father.
See his tiny eyelids fall.

One small light from the flame of a candle,
one small light from a city of might,
One small light from the stars in the endless night,
one small light from a face

Chorus: See the shepherds kneeling before him,
See the kings on bended knee,
See his mother praising his Father.
See the Blessed Infant sleep.

One small child in a land of a thousand.
One small dream in a people of might.
One small hand reaching out to the starlight,
One small Savior of life.

When God Ran - Phillips, Craig, and Dean

Almighty God,
the great I am. Immovable rock,
omnipotent, powerful,
awesome Lord, Victorious warrior,
commanding King of Kings, Mighty conqueror,
and the only time the only time I ever saw Him run

CHORUS:
Was when He ran to me,
He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said 'My son's come home again'
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
'Son do you know I still love you?'
He caught me by surprise when God ran

The day I left home I knew I'd broken His heart
And I wondered then if things could ever be the same
Then one night I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road ahead I could see
It was the only time; the only time I ever saw Him run

BRIDGE:
I was so ashamed, all alone and so far away
But now I know He's been waiting for this day

I saw Him run to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said 'My son's come home again'
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice I felt His love for me again

He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said 'My son's come home again'
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said, 'Son' He called me Son
He said, 'Son do you know I still love you?'
He ran to me and then I ran to Him
When God ran
